Dr. Christina Kanagaratnam

Dr Christina Kanagaratnam has a true passion and dedication to the profession of family medicine.  She is a skilled clinician with vast experience in both rural and urban family medicine over two decades.

She obtained her medical education from the Imperial College School of Medicine (Formerly Charing Cross and Westminster Medical school) London, United Kingdom. She continued her medical education both in the UK and Canada to obtain several specialized professional training and postgraduate qualifications including

  • Member of The Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP UK),
  • Member of Royal College of General Practitioner (MRCGP UK)
  • Diploma in Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (DRCOG UK)
  • Diploma in Family planning (DFFP)
  • Certified menopause practitioner (MSCP)
  • Certification in the College of Family Physician ( CCFP )
  • Fellow of The College of Family Physician Canada ( FCFP )

Her career in Canada began two decades ago as a full service family physician in the rural community of Mission, BC. She was involved in various areas of practice including emergency medicine, palliative care, senior’s health, mental health and addiction medicine. She then moved to Crescent beach, South Surrey BC where she provided full spectrum care to her patients from cradle to grave.

Dr Kanagaratnam is a  menopause society certified practitioner ( MSCP ).  She has extensive training and experience in women’s health services such as advanced contraception including IUD , Nexplanon implant insertion. Endometrial biopsy and evidence based menopause care. 

As the founder of Spring Creek Medical Centre   Dr Kanagaratnam’s vision is dedicated to delivering excellence in every aspect of patient care.

Dr. Jennifer Tupper

Dr Tupper was born and raised in North Vancouver, British Columbia. She completed her medical degree at the University of British Columbia and completed her family medicine and emergency medicine fellowship in at McgIll university in Montreal. She moved to Calgary in 2004 where she lives with her husband and three children and two dogs.

She currently works at Banff emergency room, the South Calgary Urgent care and at Spring Creek medical Centre.

Dr Tupper enjoys biking, skiing, windsurfing and pickle ball during her time off.

Dr. Sara Elizabeth Wiesenberg

MD, CCFP, FCFP, MPH

After earning her medical degree in 1981 from McMaster University, Dr. Sara has practiced family medicine in four different regions of Canada and pursued many related interests. She completed a special residency in Women’s Health (Queen’s University), a degree in Biostatistics and Epidemiology (McGill University) and a Masters of Public Health (Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health). 

In addition she has held many different related positions including researcher for the Public Health Agency of Canada, Cancer Care Ontario, medical director Victorian Order of Nurses and associate professor at Loyalist University. Currently she loves to be back practicing comprehensive family medicine and enjoying her acreage in the Alberta foothills.

Dr. Warner, Dr. Tyson Warner, Tyson Warner

Dr. Tyson Warner

Dr. Warner’s guiding principles include:

  • Service to his community.
  • Providing his best effort with each and every patient interaction.
  • Providing reasoned, ethical, and unbiased guidance to his patients.
  • Delivering care with empathy and compassion.

 

Dr. Warner’s Medical experience include:

  • Provision of Emergency/Urgent, Family and Hospital based medicine in numerous communities across all of Alberta for 20+ years.
  • Teaching Medical Students, Residents and fellow Physicians in academic, clinical, simulation and conference settings.
  • Prior administrative experience as the Medical Director of the South Calgary Urgent Care and then for southern Alberta Urgent Cares provincially. He was the Department of Family Medicine Urgent Care Section Chief. He has/is supporting his local Medical Staff Association as VP. Helped shape the UC responses to 2009 H1N1 pandemic, 2013 floods, 2020 COVID pandemic.

 

Dr. Warner’s academic career included:

  • Attending SFU, UBC, UofA.
  • Academic publications.
  • Awarded approximately 20 scholarships/grants/prizes.
  • Academic commendations, including letters from Prime Ministers Mulroney and Chretien, the latter of which also awarded the honorary title of Canadian Scholar.

 

When not at work, Dr. Warner:

  • Can be found in the mountains with his family, friends and dog.
  • He loves to ski, mountain bike, paddle, hike and socialize.
Dr. Dhaliwal, Dr. Amanpreet Dhaliwal, Amanpreet Dhaliwal

Dr. Amanpreet Dhaliwal

Dr Amanpreet Dhaliwal completed her medical school at the University of Ottawa. She decided to move out west to complete her family medicine residency training at the University of Calgary.

During residency, she developed a special interest in women’s health and medical education. She is a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary and has completed the University of Calgary Teaching Excellence Program. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis and traveling.

Dr. Sohn, Dr. Sam Sohn, Sam Sohn

Dr. Sam Sohn

Dr Sam Sohn studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo before obtaining his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. It was during medical school that he realized the importance of family medicine.

He returned to Canada and completed his family medicine residency training in Calgary. During residency training, he developed a special interest in minor procedures, urology and geriatrics.

Outside of medicine, hiking, collecting rocks, and traveling are ways he recharges himself.

Sam speaks English and Korean.

Dr Banerjee

Dr. Bipasha Banerjee

Dr. Banerjee is a UK-trained General Practitioner who recently transitioned from England to Calgary, where she has been practicing for the past 18 months. She earned her medical degree at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic before returning to England to complete her family medicine training in York.

With special interests in mental health and elderly medicine, Dr. Banerjee is deeply committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care in these areas.

Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys hiking,traveling and keeping her two small children entertained.
